'When the night is dark and I am all alone, my memories take me away.

Memories of past events and time,

Memories of laughter, joy and even love.

Memories are everywhere in the darkness as I curl deeper into my blankets, seeking the sweet oblivion that is sleep.

But till then, I remember everything.....

The way the sun reflected in your hair.

I remember the way your laugh sounded,

How it rumbled and purred all around me.

I remember the brightness of your eyes,

How open they were.

So rare these days.

I remember the sound of your heartbeat,

So strong and true.

I even remember the way you smelled.

Leather and spice...I will never forget that lovely combination.

I remember....everything.....

So take heart those who have loved and lost,

For death or even separation is not the end.

No one truly 'dies'..either in time or in memory....for the only true 'death' is when they are forgotten....and I will always remember.....always....'
