"Keep your hands up, or you will get your bell rung again."

Becca laughed softly as she took Rheagals fist into her own and shoved her forearm against his. "Strong. Don't let me push you back. Strong, like wood. Got it? Keep your hands up." She ruffled his hair and took a few steps back from her eldest son.

"Now...attack."

Rheagal was learning how to spar with his siblings, and trying to show off, made a mistake and rushed his mother again. She simply side stepped him and swatted the back of his head gently with her palm.

"You charged, Never charge, unless you want to lose your head. Again."

Rheagal rolled his shoulders and took up another stance. Eyeing his mother as she moved around him like a shark. He had displayed an interest in joining the Rivendell guard, so he asked to be trained to fight...and after careful consideration and a brief talk with Lucius, they had agreed. She had been an assassin at one point and it was decided she was the best to teach physical defense. Lucius could teach him about the magical defense. His siblings watched because they were being taught too.

"Watch me, Rheagal." She said softly as she moved around him, moving her fists as well. "See how my body moves. I will tell you what I will do if you just watch. I am going left..." She moved and swatted out at him with her right hand instead and he yelped.

"That isn't far!" He growled. "You said left!"

"But my eyes, and my body said right. Learn to watch my son. You are getting better. Again..."

This time, when she feigned right and instead went left, he stopped her, smiling victoriously up at her.

"Good."

"Tell me one thing about him..."

**Rp memory** (( YES triplets with 2 fathers CAN be done...writing partner at the time and I highly researched it.))

"Tell me one thing about him...Just one thing?" Allya and Rheagal looked up at their mother from where she stood cooking them dinner. She knew what they were asking for.

She sighed softly, knowing that as they aged, they would ask for much more.

Wiping her hands, she took both their hands, and went to sit on the sofa, calling Armand over from where he was reading and settled them all around her. Each looking up at her expectantly.

"Well, Lets see..." She thought a moment, hugging Allya close as she had come to sit in her mothers lap. "They were Fearless." She said softly, a small smile crosses her face. "Your fathers, both of them, were Fearless. Strong, Brave and they loved you all from the second they learned of you all."

"What happened to them?" Armand asked curiously. His grey eyes looking at his mother. Knowing she wouldn't answer that one, for she never did. "Can you just tell us...one more thing?" He was the more observant of the triplets and knew that this subject still hurt his mother, but he wanted to know right along with his siblings, about their fathers.

She thought a moment, and then looked back at Armand and caressed his cheek. "Your father, was a wizard, and a very good one. His name and magic was known far and wide from where he was from. Deep inside, he was a good man, and you remind me so much of him." Her eyes turned to Allya and Rheagal as she kissed her daughters cheek and rubbed her thumb over her sons cheek. "Your father was a Blacksmith from a place called Lorien. He was very good at his craft and people came from far and wide to commission him for his work. He was Brilliant, and could make things that no one else ever could. You both resemble him in some ways, and your hearts are as pure as his was. They both...would be so proud of you."

She nodded and kissed each of her childrens cheeks. "That's all for tonight. Dinner is ready so go wash up."

Her children had been in human form for most of the day. Even her boys, which was a surprise since they loved their wolf form so much.

Allya and Armand had played with the toy blocks and wooden animals Rebecca had made them. Playing nicely save for the small disagreement that took place when Armand 'dared' to touch Allyas stuffed horse that Elijah bought her. When she saw her younger brother cuddling with her most treasured toy....ohhh the outburst was damn near deafening! Her shrill cry hurt even Rebeccas ears, but she stopped as soon as Amrand dropped it and she scooped it up once more into her embrace with a small giggle.

Rhaegal had been crawling all over the place, following his mother as he watched her clean and cook. He even tried to 'help' clean by pulling all the folded towels off the sofa and onto the floor with him, laughing as he kicked his feet and squealed in delight at the mess he had made. Rebecca had her hands full with him underfoot, but she wouldn't have it any other way.

Her children gave her life purpose, direction. Taking care of their needs, made her forget the darkness that often came with her own. She had foregone cleaning after the towel pile and settled down beside her children, to play and cuddle with them. She told them story after story as they played with or banged together the blocks they played with. Three sets of different colored eyes eagerly looked up at her, as tonight was no different. When Mother joined, it usually meant a story, and they loved her stories! Tonight was no different, for as she cuddled each one in turn, she began to weave her tale.

Long Long ago, when the world was new, there were three very different types of people on this earth. (she began)

The eldest of which, where the Immortals. Those who would live forever, the Vampires, and the Elves...like your Mother.

She grinned as they cooed and babbled, like they understood her.

Then, came the Humans, whose time on this earth was very fleeting. Now, at first, the three different clans got along, as they needed each other to survive. The Vamps fed on the Humans and the Elves gifted both with certain gifts to help them throughout their lives when the time came. But then came one from each side who thought that their side, their clan, should be in charge of the other two. And with it...came war.

Rhaegal growled at the word "war" and Armands ears perked up.

Three sides, who had lived in peace for so long, now fought like bitter enemies and it seemed, that all three sides would face extinction; but the Gods, in their wisdom, had an idea. If they could not live together in peace, as they once had. They would instead, live apart. Forever in their own realm. Sounds pretty good, right? (she asked her young who babbled back at her, making her smile)

But there was a just one problem with that plan. The Vamps grew weak, with nothing to feed on, the Humans grew decadent and lax with nothing to worry them and they then turned on each other and the Elves...well one went as bad as you please and nearly destroyed the entire race. No, living apart wasn't the answer...but it had been so long since they had emerged together that none knew how to nor wanted to. Thinking that to join with one race when from another would be to 'taint' the bloodlines. All but one...An elf, who wasn't really an elf, but rather a very interesting hybrid. For you see, this lone female, though living with the elves for years and accepted as one, had a terrible secret. She was really a wolf, and a demon in disguise.

Her babes all squealed at that which made Rebecca laugh and nod.

Oh yes...she was. And she was now carrying the Lord High Elfs child, but he must never know or face scandal of the worst kind. So it was she, who along with her unborn child, ventured into the wilds of the Vampires and Humans and there, bore her child. The first hybrid of its kind, into a land willed with both Monsters and Men...but which was which? Hmmm? The Elves had shunned her, the Humans were cruel and used her and her child for their gifts, yet some were kind, and the Vampires, well some wanted the elven maid for her blood while others, like the humans, showed mercy. In helping her to escape the cruelty she had faced in trying to help each clan reunite with their ways, her child grew up in many different situations...not all of them good. She was human, she was Elf, she was Vampire both you see? A gift...of sorts for all three clans. a way to reunite them all once more. But what has become of this child and her mother? Well...some say they managed to do what was set out for them. Some say the mother died and the child forgotten...but I say, life has a way of teaching you things, about yourself, about those around you if you but listen. Not everything is as it seems my dears. Not all vampires are bad, not all humans are good and not all elves are pure. Listen, watch, learn...and you will know, what happened to that woman and her child. Their end, has not come to a close...not yet, and neither has yours.

 Hate and Love,

Hate and Love,

One hangs the stars,

One seeks to destroy them.

But it wasn't always thus,

No.

Hate knew Love once.

One had to know the other,

In order to become what it became.

For there can not be any hate, without Love,

No Light without Darkness,

No good without the Bad.

But which came first?

Aha! There is the rub.

There is the mystery.

Was it love that turned to hate,

or hate that slowly turned back into Love?

Was it a gentle hand that soothed a worried brow,

Or an unexpected strike from someone that broke you?

Was it a soft word, uttered in kindness that softened you,

Or a violent barrage of words that shattered you?

Was the release of your pain that set your soul free,

Or the binding of your misery deeper into yourself that hardened your heart?

Which came first....Hate or Love?

Which do you turn to, know now above the other...

Hate or Love?
