Practicing magic had always been a favorite past time for Becca. She was able to use the fire gift she inherited from her mother and make tiny fire animals that often ran around in her hand for fun. Long as the flame did not glow orange, it was safe and would not burn. However, tonight, something was different----

she sat out under the nearly full moon, practicing and smirking as she made a few small animals out of blue fiery flame. A butterfly she had made out of the blue flame fluttered around her and she smirked, reaching out to touch it. Yet as she did, it manifested itself into a bigger form and a spark broke off and turned and floated off into the woods. That was shocking, as Becca had never been able to do so before.

Standing, Becca followed that spark, deeper into the woods. Into parts she had never dared venture before and it was there that spark vanished!

Left in complete darkness, she glanced around, allowing her other senses to take effect and it was then that the smaller fire-butterfly alighted upon her shoulder, causing her to look down before it floated off towards the darker part of the wood. Becca's gaze followed and what she saw, approaching slowly, made her eyes widen and her jaw to drop just a bit.

A magnificent buck, made completely out of her blue fire stepped into the small clearing in which she stood and regarded her. To say she was shocked, was an understatement, as Becca's fire was for fun only, and yet this----buck, seemed entirely 'alive', in a way. It's ears even twitched as it watched her.

Reaching out a slow hand, Becca's eyes remained firmly fixed on the deer that seemed to shimmer and glow right before her. She could see the soft curls of fire wafting off of its fur and as she reached out for it, it bent it's head and for a second touched her hand with it's nose. Before exploding into a tiny rain of sparks!

The fire-butterfly, now smaller in appearance, came back to alight upon her shoulder once more, before it too, sparked out.
